Bride
& Groom Topper or Favor
The base is
made with two candy molds. The first, done in milk chocolate, has
a fluted design. The one that is attached to the top of the fluted
candy heart base is made of white chocolate compound and has the word love
in relief. Paint the word "love" using the 3-D painting method as
described for the Bride and Groom candy favor, below. Attach the
two bases with melted chocolate compound.
Paint the inside
of the bride and groom candy mold. Use flesh tone (melted, white
chocolate with a dab of melted pink and of melted brown chocolate
compounds) for the faces. To paint the cavity, just dip an artist's
brush into the desired-colored, melted compound and bring the bulb of melted
compound over to the cavity and drop it in place. Use the artist's
brush to move the melted compound into place to completely fill the cavity,
which in this case, will be the faces. Let solidify. Use the
desired colors for the hair. Let solidify. Use white for the
shirt part that looks like a "v". Use the desired colors for the
groom's jacket and pants. After all the colors are solidified, fill
the entire cavity with melted, white chocolate compound. Chill in
freezer. Remove. Pop out of mold. Let set at room temperature
until no longer cold to the touch. Paint the decorations using the
3-D method.
Make yellow
dots for the stamens of the flowers. Use blue dots for the petals
of the flowers. Use green to form the tiny leaves. Use blue
and strings and bulbs of melted chocolate compound to form the delicate
ribbons that hang. Use blue dots for the "buttons". And, make
a floral design for the bride's headpiece of tiny blue flowers. Let
all painting solidify before attaching the bride & groom to the white,
heart base. |
